The Perrin Inn

It’s a simple place, but the food was great and well priced, which is hard to find. On a cold winter evening, the lovely fire added to it. I left very happy that I’d stopped for a meal.

On a wet, rainy morning, I came in for an early breakfast and was welcomed by a roaring fire. The portions were generous, the food tasted great, and the prices were good. Thank you!

That gravy had no taste at all, and the rest of the meal was just as bad. My buddy and I both thought it might have been the worst food either of us had ever eaten: completely bland and badly overcooked. I rarely leave a negative review, but this place earned one. Wish we'd checked the reviews before stopping. Just avoid it. Absolute dirttttttt.

The place was neat, the chairs were comfortable, and our server was kind. The food, though, was low quality, and I wouldn't return. My partner was told the soup of the day was Leek and Potato, but what arrived was orange, watery, and lumpy, with carrots. I tried some and it had almost no flavour. It seemed like carrots and water had been thrown together and left at that. I ordered Fresh Hake for 14 euros, with chips and salad. The fish was disappointingly small, especially beside the much larger portions of chips and salad. The chips looked store-bought and bleached. The hake was edible, but still had its skin on underneath and could have been cooked much better. They only sell Americanos, with no choice of other coffees.
