Kilkee Town House

My wife and I stayed here on a motorbike tour. The receptionist kindly let me park the bike securely behind the premises, and all the staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable, and breakfast was great. A biker-friendly place right on the WIld Atlantic Route. 👍👍👍

The breakfast was delicious, served hot on a hot plate, and parking was easy, pretty much right outside. We stayed for three nights in early July 2020. It was very clean, quiet, and the staff were helpful. We loved the big comfortable bed, and the bathroom was nice, though I wish it had shelves for a washbag and cosmetics instead of having to put them on the floor. We usually choose hotels, but this felt much like a hotel stay, and I’d strongly recommend it to anyone visiting Kilkee. The Cliff walk is fantastic, with beautiful views. We drove the West coast highway of America from San Fran down through California, which was fantastic too, but some views from the Cliff walk and above the golf club on Kilkee’s other side are just as breathtaking. The staff were lovely and the bed was comfy, but the place felt a bit dated. The sewer pipes outside our window were exposed, and water dripped into them from the roof all night. The back garden wall was very dirty and needed painting.

Things started out great when we arrived, but the stay went downhill a little after that. The staff were second to none and the service was brilliant. Management, though, wasn’t great.
