Andrew, the property owner, is a sound guy and easy to deal with. We’ll be back soon. Eight of us stayed here and it was a brilliant spot for a group, with plenty of space and clean rooms. Right in central Kilkenny, it was an easy walk to the pubs, restaurants, and main sights. We couldn’t have picked a better location, and we’d definitely book again. Highly recommend for larger groups.

The location is good, but I came away from this guesthouse feeling cold and damp. The rooms were cold, and there was bad dampness and condensation on the walls and windows. We had no hot water for a shower, and the bathroom floor felt like an ice rink. Late at night, we twice encountered men sitting on the step outside. Communication from staff about check-in and checkout also needs to improve.

We came over from the US for the booking my husband had made on April 10/24 for May 11/24, which he had paid for. When we arrived to check in, the front desk was empty and the office was closed. Nobody answered the phone either. We left messages on the voicemail but never got a call back.

The room was warm and clean, and the bed was really comfortable. It’s an easy walk to town and nearby amenities, too. A very nice spot in Kilkenny, and I’d stay here again.
