White Lady Hotel

We had a great stay at this hotel on a recent trip to Kinsale with friends. Anthony looked after us like we were his own, an absolute gentleman. As a group of Irish people, we thought the restaurant served some of the finest food we'd ever had. One friend called the steak the best they'd ever eaten.

I've been here a couple of times recently for family events. There's a great choice of Malaysian and Asian dishes, along with steaks and seafood. The service and atmosphere are excellent.

The food was so good, and the portions filled me up while still leaving room for dessert. My cocktails had a nice amount of alcohol too. A lovely restaurant experience, I'd recommend it.

The food was decent, but we left feeling embarrassed by how the older staff treated us. We were in our twenties, and it felt like that was why we got a different reception from the middle-aged women at the next table, who were met with warm smiles and good manners. My parents have been customers for years and were shocked when they heard about it. I'd heard a few people describe similar experiences, though I wouldn't usually complain or leave a review myself. We'd booked a table for four ahead of time, for when friends visiting from up the country came to Kinsale over the summer. A young waitress was lovely, but the person I assumed was a female manager was rude as she showed us to our table. A middle-aged man took our orders and made a snarky remark to my friend. We had to ask three times for water, and my friend's chips were forgotten until we asked. I ordered aromatic duck with pancakes, but got chips instead without being told. After hearing me complain about it to my table several times, the male manager, I assume, brought the pancakes over 15 minutes after the duck arrived. I'd already eaten by then, and he put them down hard on the table. We waited so long for the bill that my friend had to go to the counter to pay. The poor communication about the food and drinks might have been manageable on its own. The service made us feel unwelcome, and I was embarrassed I'd brought my friends there. The toilet seat in the women's bathroom was broken and caused my friends to slip. Do better.
