We had a great time at Albi hotel. We booked at the last minute, on a whim, and were glad we did. The location is fantastic, just a couple of minutes on foot from Mahne Yehuda market. Our room was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed.

We came with a big group of family and friends and filled almost the whole hotel. It felt as if we were welcomed by family, not staying in some anonymous place. The staff were so kind and helpful, and the rooms were beautifully designed and comfortable. The location was very convenient. Thanks for making this such an amazing visit.
One of the nicest hotels I've stayed in. The staff were phenomenal too!
The staff at Albi were considerate, quick to answer, and really good people. From all the hotels I contacted, they were the only ones who replied to my questions before I booked. They felt very human, which seems rare in a touristy city. They also helped with check-in, arranging an airport taxi, and storing our luggage for a few hours after checkout. My family and I booked the family parter room. It was clean, comfortable, and quiet, and the beds were large enough for four. The price was reasonable, the air conditioning handled the summer heat, and the bathroom was clean. There was a grocery store and restaurants nearby, and the Old City was within reasonable distance. I'm cautious and tend to overthink and overprepare trips, and this boutique hotel was the only place that met my whole list of requirements. There were some nice extras too: a hot tub on the roof that I didn't use but that looked lovely, televisions with NetFlix, and a rooftop happy hour I happened to catch. I believe that event was occasional and experimental. I was also worried about finding reliable transport to the airport during Shabbat. The taxi driver, as I recall, had worked with the hotel for a good while. He was reliable, professional, and trustworthy in my experience, took us from point A to point B on time, and charged the amount the staff had agreed with us beforehand. I'm not being paid for this review. I know overly positive reviews can make me suspicious, and the short or comment-free five-star reviews didn't help me decide. I'm writing this out for people like me who over-research trips because of anxiety. In my opinion, Albi is one of the best places to stay in Jerusalem, and staying there was one of the best decisions I made for my time in the city.
The rooms are nicely designed, clean, and modern, but the hotel is tiny, with only a few rooms in a small building. The lobby is in the basement, and there's no elevator. I counted 52 narrow steps from reception to our room 301. Parking isn't available at the hotel, and the nearest lot is expensive and about half a kilometre away. Communication was good, with smiles and hearts, but mostly through WhatsApp messages. The location is central but very close to a main road with noisy, jammed traffic. The rooms are soundproof when closed, while the pleasant little rooftop with jacuzzi was noisy at all hours. There's no breakfast on site.
