Vert Jerusalem By AFI Hotels

We appreciated how clean and well-kept the rooms were, but the stay was disappointing. The hotel advertised a pool, yet after we arrived and paid, we learned it wasn’t working. They should have told us beforehand. Breakfast was lacking too: the only juice options were orange and lemon, and both were so diluted they tasted more like water.

When unforeseen circumstances meant we had to cancel a 10-night reservation, Racheli Shalgi handled everything with care and impressive efficiency. She stayed available around the clock, kept in constant contact and made sure we were supported throughout a complicated process. Her composure, attention and concern for our wellbeing showed a very high standard of hospitality. Vert Hotel also waived every cancellation charge, a generous decision that says a lot about the establishment’s values and integrity. We wholeheartedly recommend Vert Hotel and hope to return. Our sincere thanks to Racheli Shalgi and the whole team for their exemplary service.

The hotel itself is nice, but the service was deplorable. We arrived and our room still wasn’t ready. While waiting, we stopped at the restaurant and waited an hour for three dishes. We had to take the third away because we ran out of time, and they put it in a plastic container with no bag. The coffee never showed up either.

At Vert Jerusalem, I accidentally left belongings worth about ₪5000 in my room after checkout. I called right away, but for hours I was ignored and got different answers from different staff. I eventually insisted and returned to the hotel in person. They then admitted that one of my items had been found in the trash, confirming the belongings were in the room, but all I was told was, “It was thrown away.” The missing things were worth over ₪5000, and the handling of it was unacceptable for a 5-star hotel. There was no proper investigation, clear explanation, or effort to return or compensate me for what was lost. I expected honesty, professionalism and respect for guests, and didn’t receive them. If you care about your belongings and safety, think twice before staying here.
