Edelweiss Guest House

Breakfast was so good we wished we’d had it on all three mornings. The options were great. We stayed for three nights and had a great room with everything we needed. Justin was fab, really friendly and helpful, and gave us tips and tricks for our Isle of Man stay. The hotel sits just back from the front, so we could walk along the beach, where we even saw dolphins. Restaurants and pubs were nearby. It was lovely seeing staff who are genuinely passionate about the Isle of Man and the guest house. Highly recommend.

We were five mates travelling together, and the group deal made the price fantastic. The rooms are basic but spotless, right on the Douglas promenade. Breakfast was good, with more than we could eat. The owner was friendly and helpful. He’d only taken over recently, but I think he’ll make this a great hotel. I’d definitely book again.

My bedroom looked out across Douglas Bay, a fantastic view. It’s a welcoming B&B with lovely staff. Buses and the tram are easy to get to, and it’s only a short stroll along the promenade into the city centre.

The sea view from my room was the cherry on top. I booked a Sea View Twin Room for a few nights, and the location right on the beach and Promenade was ideal. The place is very clean and in great condition, and the Wi-Fi worked extraordinarily well, which I hadn’t expected given how old the hotel seems. It must be well over 100 years old, with a sweet charm you have to experience to understand. Even using the lift was an experience, in a good way. The staff were very friendly and kind, and were flexible when my itinerary suddenly changed, which I greatly appreciated. Breakfast was available at a fair price, though I didn’t have it. I can only recommend considering a stay here for the special atmosphere and the staff’s kindness. Thanks, Edelweiss!
