We've stayed here a couple of times, and it's the only place we want to book when we come to the island. Everyone on staff is so welcoming, and they're happy to accommodate an early check-in after the overnight boat. I've also booked it for my grandparents when they visit for the S100. This is the only place I'd want them to stay.

The staff were especially friendly and helpful, and the room and bathroom were spotless. Getting around was easy thanks to the location and public transport links. Breakfast was good, although I found the menu a little confusing at first, which may just have been me. It was a comfortable, enjoyable stay, and I'd recommend the hotel to anyone visiting the area.

The breakfast was a little pricey at £14 for a full English, but the hotel itself was nice, with clean, comfortable rooms and friendly staff. It's at the Queens promenade end of Douglas, with the Electric railway and horse-drawn tram nearby and a bus stop right outside. Lots of old-fashioned touches, including a gated lift. Highly recommended.

We loved our stay in the luxury sea-view room and would definitely recommend it. The staff were friendly and knew their stuff. It's a lovely old place with lots of atmosphere, and the quirky lift felt straight out of Miss Marple.

The hotel was lovely, and every staff member we dealt with was so kind and helpful. Their service deserves five stars. The evening meals were another story. We ate in the bar one night and the restaurant another, and service was extremely slow both times. The gluten-free bar food I chose was very poor, and at the restaurant the food arrived so late I could hardly eat it. I'd return to the hotel, though I'm not sure I'd have dinner there again.
