OYO 14635 Hotel Orchid

The hotel is outside the city, so you can't get anywhere without a driver. For the price, it wasn't worth it. The room was basic, and neither it nor the sheets were clean. Staff didn't seem well trained and couldn't speak English. They had to bring room service three times because the order was wrong. Breakfast was very basic, and most of the food was cold.

The location was good and the people were friendly, but the rest wasn't. The hotel wasn't very clean and could definitely be better. I was traveling alone and only managed one night there. A travel agency from Delhi arranged the booking, and I paid more than I should have. I only realized afterward, though sadly this sort of thing happens quite often in India. If you want hot water for a bath during the day, you have to ask reception, and it took 20 minutes to arrive. Breakfast wasn't ready at 7:30 am as they had told me, only after 8 am. I also saw a mouse on the stairs, which didn't feel like a good sign. How much this matters depends on what people want when traveling. I think management is responsible.

The hotel itself is lovely, and the in-house restaurant looks beautiful. Everyone we dealt with, including the manager, was very pleasant. They can also arrange tourist cabs at reasonable rates.

It’s a new hotel with fresh, clean furnishings, and the breakfast was good. We booked online through OYO, and the staff and owner were helpful throughout. Receptionists Robi and Osman bhai were especially willing to help with anything. The price is low for Agra, though the hotel is about 3 km from the main town. I’d recommend it to anyone visiting.
