The balcony-view premium rooms are a nice touch, and the rates are reasonable. Service was excellent.

The rooms smelled really bad. I left my glasses on the counter and came back an hour later, but they first said I hadn't left them there. When I asked to see just five minutes of CCTV footage, they kept putting it off.

The room itself was eventually offered at the earlier rate, but checking out turned into a dispute over what I owed. This was my second stay at hotel Kadamb INN, and on 14th May 2024 I paid in advance for the first two days after explaining I was a returning customer and asking for the same price as last time, 1000. The staff agreed. On the night of 16th May 2024, I asked if the price for 17th May 2024 could be adjusted since I had to leave early and wouldn't use the room for the full day. The person agreed and said I'd pay the balance, 1000 plus a half day charge for 17th May, the next morning. I couldn't find him at the desk on 17th May. At checkout a different person, who hadn't heard our discussion, wanted to charge the listed rate of 1800 per day, or 7200 for four days. I asked him to check with the person I'd spoken to before paying the balance. I was shocked when that person changed his story, denied what he'd said about the price, and brought up a payment I'd already made separately from the room rate. He also kept saying I owed a commission to the rickshaw driver, even though I'd given the driver 100 rupees when I arrived on 14th May 2024. I ended up paying extra unnecessarily, and that amount matters to an ordinary person. If they'd told me on the first day that they wouldn't honor the agreed rate, I could have left or chosen not to stay. Instead, after taking an advance, they told me something different at checkout. I feel deeply hurt and misled. This was my real experience, and I'd urge people to be careful and avoid visiting or booking this hotel in Ahmedabad. I hope the people responsible are held accountable, and I'll try to take this to other forums. I'll never stay here again, and I'll tell my friends and relatives in Ahmedabad and anyone I know elsewhere in India who plans to visit.

The rooms are decent, but the rest of the place drags the stay down. It's on the third floor of a very old, abandoned-looking building, with broken things, dust, no cleanliness, and red paan parag stains all over the walls. Service was average too. Apart from the rooms, the hotel was just average.
