We stopped for the night in a peaceful village without a crowd of boats, and also took the optional smaller boat through the narrow canals. The tour had beautiful views and delicious food. The chef made some of the best dishes we've had in Kerala, catered well to our vegan diet and kept checking in with us.

The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the food was good. Nova Holidays Houseboat could improve its pricing, facilities and tour experience to earn five stars.

Booking directly with the owner on WhatsApp got us a better deal than we found online. We checked the boat before paying, and it was clean and comfortable. The only drawback was that the shower water wasn't hot in the morning. The overnight stop was in a peaceful village, with no crowd of boats, and we also chose an optional ride on a smaller boat through the canals. The sights were beautiful, and the food was delicious. The chef made some of the best dishes we ate in Kerala, handled our vegan diet well and kept checking in with us.

The scenery is amazing, and this is definitely one of the nicer boats. The boat itself was nice, with plenty of good food. Service let the experience down, though. There were a few small issues: one towel for a couple, broken shower heads, and no cleaning of the living area between the night and breakfast. Those things could be improved to make the trip more enjoyable.
