Blue Sparkle Resort

The meals included in our package had the simple, fresh warmth of eating at a Maharashtrian friend's home. Thanks to Sopam Mhatre for keeping the food and service consistently good. The room looked out over the pool, and the rooftop restaurant had a lovely green view, especially in the early morning. Nagaon beach is about 1.2 km away, so quick trips there were easy. We stayed for two days and found the interiors clean, spacious, and just like the photos, even though the exterior paint has faded. The property sits right on the main Alibag–Revdanda road in Nagaon, which made access easy. Bipin Mayekar and his team were welcoming, and Bipin was responsive and helpful throughout, just a call away with any answers. A stay I'd recommend for a relaxing visit to Alibag.

We tried everything on the menu, and the food was the best I've had. The quality and portions were just right for one person. The caretaker was polite and took care of every service. I stayed here with my family and had a great experience at the blue sparkle hotel. Rooms are large, with AC options, and every room has a balcony. There's also a pool behind the hotel. I'd strongly recommend staying here, and trying the menu.

The caretaker was very good and helpful, and the rooms were clean. You can get a cooler in a non-AC room, and AC rooms are available too. It's a decent budget resort, so don't expect fully professional treatment. The rooms are a bit old and could use better maintenance, and there's not much in the way of amenities beyond the swimming pool. Parking can be challenging: the resort is on the main road, and the porch fits only about 4-5 cars. Food is made to order, so place your lunch order by 11-11:30 before you arrive.

I booked the gold food package for eight people, four vegetarian and four non-vegetarian. There was plenty of good food, and I liked that they took our feedback and adjusted the cooking to suit us. The swimming pool is a good size compared with others. Excellent service.
