The only thing that deserves a star is the local family's delicious cooking the one time we ate there. Everything else was a terrible experience, with sales and operations clearly failing to communicate. Santosh, the sales representative for this property, took our booking and made big promises, but the property belongs to a local family and is rented by his sales team. We kept updating them about our arrival time and paid an advance. When we got there, Santosh wasn't there to meet us and didn't answer our calls. We'd repeatedly asked for a room heater and had it confirmed by Santhosh, but none was ready. They scrambled to open new heater boxes, apparently bought just minutes earlier, and the heaters wouldn't plug in. After they changed the plug, we found there wasn't enough voltage to run them. We later realized this was a temporary or new property without proper electricity. We spent three hours freezing while they tried to set the place up. It was disgustingly dirty too, as the attached photos show. We arrived at 5pm, after giving our expected arrival time hours in advance. Until 9pm, all of us, including our driver, were crowded into one room to keep warm. Exhausted and nearly frozen, we ate one tasty dinner from the host family, then went into the streets to find another hotel. We found an alternative but had to compromise and pay a lot more before moving there. It was mentally harassing, and the sales guy who'd made grand promises before taking the booking was nowhere to be found and couldn't be reached by phone. We still haven't met him. He says he was elsewhere and out of town. Also, please note that the other reviews here under the name Bisht are all from friends and family of the Bisht family who own the place. I relied on those reviews and was fooled, so I want to point that out.
