FabExpress Sant Golden Temple

The owner and room boys were very good, but getting there by cab or taxi was difficult. It’s tucked into small market lanes, and we had to take a rickshaw; nobody seemed to know the homestay. The place is average, and the A/C didn’t work during our cold winter night. It’s not suitable for families with small kids. Linens and towels weren’t clean, and housekeeping needs a lot of improvement.

The management takes very good care of both the property and its guests, and it’s a very nice place to stay. Finding it can be tricky since it’s in a small lane in the market area, and Ola cabs won’t take you all the way there. You’ll need to walk to the property.

The location is central and makes it easy to get to historic places. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and supportive, with customer service and satisfaction clearly a top priority. I’d highly recommend staying here.

Staff are helpful, and the included breakfast is one item they prepare, so you don’t get to choose. This really is a house turned into guest rooms, not a hotel, and it may not suit anyone used to a 3-star or 4-star place. Its big advantage is being near the Golden Temple, so you can visit as often as you like. But it’s in a narrow lane among local homes, and vehicles such as Ola, Uber, or taxis can’t reach it. You’ll need to walk some distance to find transport.
