Hotel Amritsar International

The photos looked good, but the walls had sealant issues. We booked four rooms and not one geyser worked. Repeated requests got us nowhere, and none of the remotes worked either. We had to call many times to get the TV sorted. They clearly say that if you book online, you’ll suffer.

We booked through Yatra with both breakfast and dinner included. The hotel gave us breakfast but refused dinner, saying it was Yatra’s responsibility. Yatra confirmed that both meals were part of the booking and tried to reach the hotel, but no one answered their calls. When we asked the hotel to show us where our booking said breakfast only, they didn’t even look at us. They also wouldn’t confirm the details by email or send them to the email address on our registration. We paid for services we didn’t receive, and the staff were neither cooperative nor helpful. Please don’t visit this kind of property. Worst hotel.

Everything went smoothly with our booking of two rooms through MakeMyTrip, with no confusion or extra payment. The food was tasty at the hotel on the top floor. The bus stand is right across the road, and Golden Temple and Jallianwalabag memorial are within 1 km. Good experience.

At 10 PM, the hotel staff told us dinner wasn’t included in our stay, even though we’d booked breakfast and dinner through Yatra.com. I showed them the confirmation email listing both, and Yatra also confirmed the full booking, but the hotel wouldn’t accept it. This feels like a scam. Families shouldn’t book here.
