Hotel Exotic Near Golden Temple

After a day exploring the city, we liked unwinding on the terrace and taking in the atmosphere. The hotel is within walking distance of both the Golden Temple and Jallianwala Bagh, which made sightseeing easy and stress-free. The staff were consistently friendly and professional. Lucky helped with room requests and local travel tips, and the reception team were welcoming and efficient. Housekeeping kept the property spotless throughout our visit, while the room service and breakfast teams were very helpful. Breakfast was fantastic, too. We had a great stay and highly recommend the hotel's location and hospitality.

I was extremely disappointed with my experience at Hotel Exotic near the Golden Temple, Amritsar. Before I arrived, Mr. Harpreet Singh assured me that I'd get an early check-in and asked for an online advance payment of ₹500, which I transferred. My wife, my 6-year-old daughter, and I arrived around 6:00 AM. Staff took our documents and said they'd give us a temporary room until another one became available, so I agreed to wait. I waited about 2.5 hours without getting a room. I repeatedly explained that I had limited time and was traveling with a young child, but no proper help was given. When the early check-in never came through, I called Mr. Harpreet Singh and asked for my advance back. He refused. I didn't stay at the hotel or use any of its services, yet my payment wasn't returned. The hotel didn't honor what had been promised before booking, and the delay wasted valuable time, caused major inconvenience, and stressed my family. I then found a room immediately at a hotel directly opposite Hotel Exotic, so accommodation was available elsewhere without a hassle. Based on my own experience, I'd urge travelers to be cautious about booking here. The whole situation felt extremely disappointing and unprofessional.

The quiet location is close to the Golden Temple, just a 5-10 minute walk away, and the staff were always helpful, kind, and nice. Breakfast was good, with toast, butter, jam, and non-spicy Indian food. The only thing that wasn't right for me was the soft mattress, though some people may like it.

Lucky ji, the manager, looked after us so well. He was always smiling and ready to help, and pointed us to good food and shopping. The Golden Temple is just right for walking, about 10 minutes away, or 4-5 minutes by autorickshaw. Our rooms were spacious, clean, and hygienic. The breakfast buffet was yummy and good value at @150/- only. The staff were extremely polite, courteous, and ever ready to help. We were also fortunate to meet the owner, Mr Harpreet Singh, a very humble and polite man. When we left, he even offered to help carry our suitcase, though we didn't let him. It was the most beautiful experience. Be assured they'll look after you in every possible way.
