The only real advantage was being just opposite the Golden Temple. It didn’t make up for the lack of hygiene during our two-night stay. The room smelled bad, the toilet amenities were inadequate, there was a dead cockroach in the cupboard, and the bathroom mat was dirty. We paid 2000 Rs. per night, yet there were no warm blankets for the 4-5° C winter. Reception bluntly said they stayed there without feeling cold under a normal blanket. There was no landline or kettle in the room. When I asked, they said kettles were only for premium rooms, an attitude and setup I’ve never seen elsewhere. After a lot of arguing they gave us a small heater, but the cleanliness never improved during the stay. A place near the temple is no use if it isn’t hygienic.

The rooms were comfortable and the service was excellent. It’s very close to the Golden Temple entrance, which makes it a great place to stay in Amritsar.

Cockroaches were all over the room, the bathroom was dirty, and the AC didn’t work. The staff were rude, and even after I complained several times at the front desk, nothing was done. Worst hotel ever. Save your money and stay somewhere else, there are much better options nearby.

The first-floor room was crawling with cockroaches. Since it was late at night, I couldn’t move to another hotel, so they shifted me to a room on the fourth floor. That bathroom had cockroaches too.
