A fantastic budget hotel close to Amritsar railway station. The breakfast is excellent, and the restaurant is on the ground floor.

I booked rooms for a business visit after staff promised enough parking. There was no parking at the hotel, though staff left a customer's vehicle on the road in a no-parking zone. The parked car was hit by someone who drove off.

The shopping market, Amritsar Railway Station and Golden Temple are all very close. Hotel Shiraz Continental is budget friendly, and management takes proper care of guests' rooms and amenities, with regular attention to cleaning and care. It's the best hotel I've experienced so far, and I'd recommend it to anyone coming to Amritsar.

The rooftop nightclub or restaurant plays music until 11 or 11.30 pm, and it's loud enough to make the windows vibrate. Hopefully they can turn it down in the future. I stayed two nights and had a pleasant time overall. The room was big and spacious, the staff warm and helpful, and the central location was good value for money. Hot water in the bathroom was a little inconsistent.

Rooms are clean, and the food they serve is fresh and tasty. It's near most sightseeing places. Having read many reviews, I still don't see much to complain about for the price. At 1100-2000, it's a 2-star hotel.
