Indhrivanam

Sarah and Morten were lovely hosts, and they helped us with travel arrangements beforehand as well as things to do nearby. We had a great time in the beautiful cottage. The food is very good if you’d rather stay in, though Kumily is only a 20 minute drive away and has lots of veg restaurants. The nearby Periyar Tiger Reserve is well worth a visit too.

The hosts’ care for the environment and their sustainability efforts really stood out to me. The green views and birdsong were lovely throughout the day, and the cottage was surprisingly clean for a plantation and forest setting. Sara and Morten warmly welcomed us along the lush forest trail and showed us to the standalone cottage. It’s elegant, with thoughtful amenities and just the right lighting. They explained the property kindly and were only a call or message away if we needed anything. We also had wonderful conversations with them. Sara came across as very kind, and Morten’s one-of-a-kind humor had us laughing again and again. Sharing stories was heartwarming. Indhrivanam will stay close to our hearts, and we’d recommend it for a quiet, relaxing nature break. Thanks again, Sara and Morten, for your hospitality. We’ll definitely visit again.

The birds made such beautiful company, and the cottage was comfortable in its peaceful surroundings. Sarah’s food was healthy and delicious, and we were happy to eat it. Staying at Indhrivanam became a memorable part of our Kerala journey. I hope Sarah and Morten have the strength and good health to keep their initiative going.

Sarah made such lovely vegan food, full of care, and she’s a real food artist. Morten was already helping us before we arrived, with useful advice about Kerala and transportation. The cottage they designed is beautiful and eco-friendly. Indhrivanam was a great place to enjoy privacy, nature, and birdsong while relaxing. We definitely recommend both the place and the food.
