MM Legacy - A Bergamont Hotel - Kanchipuram

The location is some distance from the city, so allow at least 20 minutes, or around half an hour, to get to the main attractions and shopping area. The price felt right for this hotel category. Rooms and bathrooms were spacious, clean, and had all the amenities. The rooftop pool looked fine, though it could use a few deck chairs and some floor repairs. Breakfast was included and very tasty, with around 10-15 choices, mostly Indian and a few Western options. The staff were professional and so helpful, especially Ankita at reception and the other staff there, who went beyond what their jobs required.

I especially liked the antique traditional idols displayed around M M Legacy. They gave the place a distinctive, elegant feel. The balcony was another highlight, spacious, with a great view and enough room for me to join a team meeting. My colleague and I were there on a business trip to Kanchipuram, about 5 km from the main town. Our room and washroom were roomy, tidy, and well cared for, with toiletries, clean towels, a kettle, and coffee items. Check-in and checkout were quick and easy. Dinner at the hotel was great, with a good range of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes, and the complimentary breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. It’s a little expensive, but the comfort and service made it worthwhile. Thanks to Gayathri and Sonali in the restaurant, and Shilpa and Ankita at reception, for making us feel so welcome. A pleasant, memorable stay for business travellers or families.

Our daughter started falling asleep while we were waiting to begin dinner after 8:30 PM. The team noticed us holding her and quietly arranged a small bed so she could sleep comfortably. We hadn’t expected that, and it was such a thoughtful, family-friendly gesture. We first came here in 2021, during our love days, and returning for my wife’s birthday made the place feel special. The ambience was lovely, and the candlelight dinner setup suited the occasion perfectly. The food was delicious, service excellent, and the staff polite and down to earth. Thanks to the GM, chef, and service team for their warm hospitality. We had a really memorable evening.
