The bar was the bright spot of this 10 day stay. Yashika was cheerful, attentive to guests, and gave great service. Her well-organized team worked hard too. Elsewhere, service was generally poor, with slow staff who seemed inattentive. I also didn’t get the room type I’d booked. I’d emailed the front desk manager, who had given me his business card, but nothing was done. I was too busy to argue.

For ₹10,000 a night, I expected more from our anniversary stay at the Hilton Garden Inn, booked under Soumyadip Maity. We called ahead to check whether breakfast came with the points booking and were told yes. At check-in, the answer became a definite no. That was an unpleasant start. We asked politely about an upgrade for our anniversary, and the front desk promised a “great view.” The room looked straight at the neighboring full-sized building. Not much of a vista. We asked for two pairs of slippers and two bathrobes, then waited 45 minutes and made three follow-up calls before they arrived. The room itself was pretty average for the price. We also bought cakes at the in-house store, “The Shop,” but their odd signature chewiness wasn’t enjoyable. At the end, the valet returned our car with a strong, deeply unpleasant smell, and gave no explanation. It was a string of small frustrations at a premium price. I wouldn’t choose this for a relaxing anniversary stay.

For business, the location worked well for my needs at the business park. After a full day at work, I liked winding down at TechTonic, the small bar area on the lobby floor. There weren’t many choices, but Debotri and Miranda made the service calm and easy, with Yashika overseeing them. Housekeeping legend Mir Shahbaz kept my room spotless and made sure the water was topped up. Thanks, team. I’d recommend the hotel for business travel.

Ms Devike from housekeeping was so warm and thoughtful, and her caring, helpful manner made me feel even more comfortable. My room was always perfectly clean. The lovely art she made on my bed really touched me and made my day. I had a wonderful stay. Thank you, Ms Devike, for such kind hospitality.
