The app showed a room rate of ₹707, and I had already paid the full amount through Oyo. At the front desk, they said I had to pay another ₹300 or they would cancel the booking. They also told me the room rent was ₹1000. Very bad service.

I booked online at a cheap rate, then saw the reviews and started to worry. When I finally reached the manager by phone, he gave me a different price and showed no interest in honoring my booking. He basically said to cancel online or pay the amount they wanted. If you need somewhere near the airport, call first. OYO has had a bad reputation for ages, and it’s shocking they still haven’t improved.

After I reached the hotel, the owner refused to check me in, saying they couldn’t offer a room at the price OYO had quoted. I’d booked one night through an OYO customer care representative and paid the full amount they requested by email. Oyo had sent all the booking details by email and WhatsApp, but the hotel staff still demanded double. I refused to pay anything more and called OYO support. They sorted it out after two hours, but it was a really disappointing experience. Please check the other reviews before booking, and don’t get caught out like I did.

I used to rely on OYO a lot, and Ritesh Agarwal’s original vision for it seemed promising. Now the app, customer service, and even the people at hotels that used to be good all feel awful to deal with. OYO switched my booking from OYO Townhouse 108, which was once one of the best and is now one of the worst, to this hotel, and that stay was absolutely terrible too.
