Ujwal Residency by OYO Rooms

The WiFi was awful, there was no hot water, and the AC wasn't very good. I suspect it was bought cheaply, though winter meant it didn't bother me much. The doors and taps also needed repairs, but nobody dealt with them. Oddly, instead of asking how my stay went, they asked for my phone so they could post a five-star rating themselves. There was no WiFi signal, so I said I'd leave five stars later. I suspect the hotel staff posted all those five-star reviews using customers' phones. It was okay if you don't need WiFi or hot water.

The area around the hotel was the part I liked most. There are plenty of shops of all kinds nearby, and the people around there are friendly. The staff were friendly too, though they didn't have another solution for the problems, so we had to put up with them. It's a little cheaper than other hotels around here, but the place is poorly maintained. The bathroom was very dirty, water flow was bad, the switches didn't work properly, and there was no AC remote. It needs maintenance.

The room was clean, but the basin had no water and the door handle was bent. WiFi barely worked, failing for about 90% of my stay. Edit: What a dumb group of people, replying to room complaints four years later, lol. I don't need a resolution after 1200+ days.

The service was average and there was no breakfast. Towels weren't up to standard, the washrooms were dirty, and the rooms smelled of cigarettes and alcohol. The beds had stains and bed bugs. The place is horrible, though for the price it might do if you have no other choice. I think many of the reviews and star ratings come from the person at the lodge. He insists on taking customers' phones at checkout and posting a review himself.
