Country Inn & Suites By Radisson, Bengaluru Hebbal

We booked a starry rooftop dinner through cherishX and loved the food and the open-sky setting with its cool breeze. Biswa Ranjan was a great host, serving everything well and checking on us personally to make sure we were comfortable. He even took our photos. We had a lovely time, thank you so much!

The beds were decent, so this could work for a quick stop if you don't mind the dated rooms. The bathroom in particular looked worn, with yellow or grimy grout, though it was clean. The front desk staff were friendly and service was generally good during my two-night work trip. The location is handy for the airport. I lost a star over the random calls offering a restaurant discount on the 6th floor and asking if I wanted spa services. The discount should have been explained at check-in. I ate at that restaurant and didn't get one; at checkout I was told it was independent of the hotel and the offer only applied to the restaurant on the first floor. Maybe I misheard, but the mix-up was frustrating.

For five days, this was a miserable stay, and I won't use Country Inn or Radisson again. The hotel facade was old, dusty, and dirty, and it felt like standing on the highway. The property doesn't seem to fit any star category. I feel bad that my company spent money here, and would urge people to avoid it. The General manager, front office manager, and executive chef should be reprimanded. The few things that were okay were the spacious, though outdated, rooms and the technicians who helped restore the AC and brought a fan. They were polite and tried to solve the problem. Otherwise, professionalism was hard to find. The only staff member who consistently stood out positively was the security guard, who opened the gate and greeted us politely. My AC failed on the first day. After I complained, they brought a fan at 4 am so I could sleep. It stopped working again later, and engineering sent a cooler. I asked to change rooms the next day but heard nothing. I had to ask for a manager, and the room was finally changed on day three. The minibar in room 310 didn't work, and there was a foul odor. Food was another mess. The pasta was pathetic, and breakfast was slow, inattentive, and poorly maintained, with bad food quality. Toast arrived 20 minutes after I'd finished breakfast. At 10:30 sharp, they took away the condiments and cutlery while people were still eating. I received a raw parantha with hair in it. Room service sent my food without cutlery. Servers used their phones while serving, and it was hard to get their attention. Unused tables weren't set. Staff could be heard fighting and swearing in the back, especially near the restaurant. A grey-coated manager or executive walked around chewing during breakfast among the seated guests. No manager or senior staff were visible in the lobby during my stay. Even though I approached the front desk a day before checkout to settle the bill so I could leave early for a flight, they had a surprise bill waiting the next morning that wasn't mine. I had asked the desk staff to check everything and avoid delaying my departure, but that failed too. As a long-stay guest, nobody checked in about my well-being or experience.

We're regular Radisson guests and expected better from Country Inn by Radisson Bengaluru. The rooms, 206 and 207, were comfortable and clean, and the food at Niro was excellent, especially the Soya Chaap. Simran at the front desk and her manager deserve thanks for sorting out our room assignment professionally. We'd told the hotel in advance about arriving late and our room preferences, but at first they gave us twin rooms on different floors. The spa was below acceptable standards, with rushed and unprofessional service. More seriously, we clearly ordered a fully vegetarian meal and were served a chicken starter by mistake. As strict vegetarians, we found this deeply upsetting and unacceptable. It showed a lack of attention and care with food, and little sensitivity. The property has potential and some staff understand hospitality, but the food mix-up and other service lapses left a bad impression. For a Radisson, the execution, training, and attention to detail need serious improvement.
