De Grand Riviera

Parking was a major hassle. There was very little room, and cars were parked in rows, so taking ours out meant moving the ones behind it. It took a lot of time. Breakfast was poor too, with very few choices and substandard food. We ate a little on the first morning, then ate out the next day. We booked two rooms for two nights, and I can't name a single positive thing about the hotel. One room constantly smelled of cigarettes. After we complained, they sprayed air freshener, but the smell stayed. Its bathroom was in bad shape, had no ventilation, and was missing basic toiletries. The pool was dirty and unusable. The second room had bugs all over the bed when we got back at night. We called reception and asked someone to come right away without saying what was wrong. They arrived with a key for a different room, which made me think they knew about the bug problem and weren't fixing it. We slept in another room that night. This was the worst hotel stay I've had. If you want your Goa trip to go well, don't book here. You can find much better hotels at about the same price.

The peaceful atmosphere and helpful, polite staff made this a comfortable stay for the price. Our room at Hotel Grand Riveria was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the location made it easy to reach beaches, restaurants, and local sights. I had a pleasant time overall and would consider coming back.

We had a good stay and I’d come back. The pool was nice, breakfast had a good selection, and the rooms were cleaned every day. The resort is close to the beach, with the market and other things easy to reach. There’s no locker in the room for valuables, though, and we had to leave the keys for cleaning.

We had a wonderful breakfast and dinner, and the hotel’s location was perfect for our holiday. De Grand Hotel was the highlight of the trip. Our room was stylish, comfortable, and clean, and the staff were welcoming, friendly, and quick to help. We stayed from 30 March to 3 April 2006.
