The weather here is always awesome, and some rooms have a nice view through the window. I really liked the quilt, it was so soft and warm. The rooms are good, with some being quite spacious, and the washrooms are clean. There’s parking too, and the staff are polite and professional.

For a low-budget hotel, the quality is good, and the staff provide good service. Tea and coffee are especially nice. Each room has an LCD with good DTH service, and there’s a good dining hall on every floor. The hotel looks out over Ranjit Sagar, as its name suggests. The sitting space with a view of the sagar is lovely.

The food was nice, and the rooms are available at a cheap price, but there are very few amenities. There were few guests during my visit, so I felt quite alone in the property. The television didn’t work properly, and they charged for a room heater. At that low rate you can’t expect everything. I’d say it’s more suitable for bachelors than families.

We stayed for two days with family, and the service was poor and slow. There are around ten rooms but only one or two staff serving them. I had to ask repeatedly just to get a small bar of soap, and we never got shampoo. It took many reminders to get plain water in the room. We were given one towel for a double room and, despite asking several times for two, never got another. There was no phone connection in our room, so we couldn’t order anything from there. A few rooms had phones, but their service had been cut off, apparently willingly by the hotel staff. We asked for it to be restored and got no answer. The food quality wasn’t good either. I’m not sure, but the serving staff seemed to be the cooks too. Their behavior was just okay, but they were drunk while serving, and I could smell it when they spoke. It’s a vegetarian restaurant, though you can order non-veg yourself and eat it there. BSNL Wifi was available but so slow it was useless. The TVs had Tata sky, but there was no remote in the room and the account was deactivated for non-payment. After many requests and reminders, I got that sorted, but they still didn’t recharge the other TV connection despite repeated requests. The sofas in the common area were in very poor condition.
