Getting to the mainland meant relying entirely on boat services, and without our own vehicle it was less convenient, with auto fares adding to transport costs. We couldn't enjoy the homestay as much as the photos suggested. The rooms were clean and neat, though having mirrors only in the bathrooms was inconvenient, and thicker blankets would have helped in winter. Food was fairly expensive and only average in quality. Service also fell short of what we expected, since we'd hoped for a friendlier, more welcoming interaction.

Construction was going on during our stay, which makes the homestay hard to judge. The owner and family were lovely and helpful, and the setting was peaceful, with rice fields behind and a waterway in front. You can walk along the water, or the hotel offers a short walk followed by a return trip in a pole boat. A good place to unwind for a few days.

We had a great chance to spot nature from this beautiful riverside setting on the river Pamba. The hosts were so friendly, the beds very comfortable, and the en suite clean. Both the traditional evening meal and breakfast were delicious.

We enjoyed watching the family prepare our food, and the hosts were so friendly and ready to help with anything. The riverside setting was wonderfully quiet, with kingfishers and other fishing birds around.

The nearby area is nice, but think carefully before booking. Construction was underway, making it noisy, and the property didn't look like the Google photos at all. Food was poor quality, overpriced, and there were no nearby alternatives, so you had little choice but to pay the high prices. Basic things like blankets, towels, and bathroom essentials weren't provided unless you asked several times. There were lots of mosquitoes, too. The caretaker/owner was very rude. A very disappointing stay.
