The rooms are furnished decently, and the staff are helpful. It’s a newly built hotel in a central spot, fairly close to both the railway station and main road. My only reason for not giving it five stars is the lack of an attached restaurant. Staff will take orders and bring food from outside to suit your needs. Parking inside the gate is possible only after the bank on the ground floor closes, usually after 8 PM. You’re asked to move the car and park on the road before 8 AM, when the bank opens.

It’s handy for a night or two because of the location in the main city, with rail and highway connections. The rooms are clean but small, and there’s no table. The cot is awful and makes a loud noise with even the slightest movement. Getting in through the narrow entrance is difficult, especially for senior citizens.

We felt well looked after here. The owner was caring and helpful, and the manager and staff were very cooperative, giving our family great service. They wore masks when dealing with us. The rooms and washrooms were extremely clean and sanitized. I’d say this is the best hotel in maldah for a family stay. Don’t be put off by the word “lodge”, the service and hospitality feel worthy of a 3 star property. I wish hotels across India offered this kind of service.

The rooms looked exactly like the pictures, and everything was very clean. They supplied soap, towels, and bathroom slippers too. The staff were well behaved and helpful, including letting us know ahead of time about food availability. A very decent choice for families.
