Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Chandigarh Zirakpur

We paid for a 5 star weekend getaway hoping to spend quality time, but it was such a bad experience that home or a 3 star hotel seemed like it would have been better. My important meeting was messed up because the hotel Wi-Fi, which was included in the package, didn’t work. I called reception, and a staff member came but said he couldn’t fix it because the problem was from the backend. The AC was another problem. It kept switching off every ten minutes and came back on after 2-3 minutes. With no fan in the room, it was sweaty hot without the AC, and it was frustrating to be without both during a hot summer afternoon. We eventually left the hotel to go somewhere else. Staff said they were turning off the AC from the back because servicing was going on. Service was poor from the start. While I waited in the lobby for my partner to arrive for check-in, I asked for a glass of water and it never came. Welcome drinks were included in my booking, but after check-in the staff member who escorted us assured us they’d be sent, even after I reminded him. We waited half an hour, called reception, and the lady said she would send them, but nobody came. An hour later we went to reception ourselves and they refused, saying drinks are only given on arrival. That contradicted the fact they hadn’t given them when we arrived. We didn’t want to spoil our mood, so let it go. We had a weekend without working Wi-Fi, proper AC or good service. Next time I’d rather book a 3 star hotel than stay at such a reputed place.

Rockey’s warm, polite hospitality made the stay more special. The whole team were courteous, attentive and ready to help with a smile. The restaurant was clean and well maintained, with a pleasant ambiance, and the lobby was tidy, organized and welcoming. My room was spotless, well kept and nicely decorated, which made it comfortable and relaxing. Everything was managed perfectly. I’d highly recommend this place for a comfortable, premium stay.

The food was delicious, with lots of choices at the breakfast buffet, and the staff were polite and good. At Ramada Plaza, the service was excellent and the rooms were beautiful and spacious. A great stay.

I loved my stay at Ramada Zeerakpur. The restaurant food was awesome, and breakfast came with fresh cut fruit and several other items that made my morning. Check-in was smooth, and the team were accommodating from the gate. My room was large, clean and tidy, with morning scenery coming through large glass windows on two sides. The only issue was the lift, which felt a little old and shabby. The washroom could use some items such as soap, though for a budget hotel it should be okay. A good place for an overnight stay on a business trip or short personal visit.
