I’ve stayed at Blossoms quite a few times in the past and eaten there often. My favorite used to be the oothappam with coconut chutney, lol. The meals are typical Udupi style, and worth trying. In terms of taste, value, customer service, and ambience, I’d put it above good, around 4/5. One thing to keep in mind is parking for four-wheelers. It’s a must, though I’m not sure if it’s available now. On my updated review of Mathsya, the traffic bottleneck on this busy road is a real menace, especially now that it’s one-way and the main route out of T.Nagar. The hotel management needs to address it. I’m surprised to see some very low ratings here, though it’s been a long time since my stays.

The Fab hotel executive promised me an extra cot at a discounted price and said that Blossoms would honor that rate. Blossoms refused the discount and said Fab Hotels already knew about it. I called the Fab hotel executive, who spoke with someone at Blossoms, but after that I got no response. My issue is simple: why make promises that aren’t real?

The room was far smaller than I expected from the online pictures, and the Wi-Fi kept failing, which got in the way of my work. The MakeMyTrip listing also said there was a washing machine, but what we found was paid laundry service. We were told by phone before booking that omelets were complimentary. After check-in, staff said they cost extra, and only gave them free after I raised the issue. The canteen food wasn’t warm, either. Service there was poor. When we asked for a small extra bowl of coconut chutney, the captain, Prisha, answered rudely in Hindi, "Kitna khayega? 2 plate ka chatni bheja hai na, aur kyun chahiye?" It felt insulting and unprofessional.

We spent three nights at Fab Blossom T.Nagar and had a superlative stay. The place was clean, the location was good, and the staff and helpers were courteous. A real bonus was the tie-up with the next-door Matsya Restraunt, where the food came quickly and was great. Highly recommended. Best wishes to the team.

The reception staff wouldn’t respond to calls, and the service was poor. I was there for two days and asked several times for hot water, but got nowhere. The replies were terrible.
