Hotel Ashok Residency

The meals were included in my package, but the restaurant service was careless and really disappointing. At dinner on the first night, I ordered starters and waited almost an hour. I'd already finished eating when they arrived, so they sent them up to my room later, which made no sense. The next morning I asked for coffee at breakfast. They said five minutes, but I waited nearly 30, and breakfast was over before it came. It never arrived. This kind of unprofessional service is unacceptable when the meals are part of the package. Management needs to improve service standards. Really disappointed.

The staff seemed indifferent, and the rooms and general upkeep were disappointing. I felt like I was being done a favor just for staying there, and paying so much for such poor service left me feeling cheated. They charge rates like a three-star hotel, but the experience was closer to a roadside lodge. Even hot water wasn’t available in a proper system. When I asked, they casually suggested bringing it in a bucket, which was shocking at those prices. You can find cleaner rooms, courteous staff, basic comforts, and hot water through OYO or other online sites for around ₹600-₹800. This place fell short on all of that. I’d tell people to look elsewhere. It wasn’t worth the money or the peace of mind.

Ms. Vanita was especially helpful and attentive, and made the stay more comfortable. The staff were courteous and supportive in general, and the rooms were clean and looked after. Had a very pleasant stay at Ashok Residence, Ayyappanthangal. Would recommend it.
