Hotel Dee Cee Manor

Valet parking is free, and the place is clean. When staff do attend to you, they’re nice. But service was slow. We had to search for someone whenever we wanted to order, and several people would take an order without acting on it. It seemed like the person who first served you was the only one who’d help, and during the rush, getting attention was a real struggle. The location is right on the main road, and there’s plenty of space, with indoor and outdoor service areas. Inside there’s DJ music; outside there’s a pool and dart. It feels more suited to teenagers. The music was far too loud. We went during IPL, and they showed it on a screen without commentary but with loud DJ music, so you had to shout to be heard. If you want a good time with a group, this might not be the place. We were four and usually spend about 4k each, at minimum, but here we quickly spent about 4k total and left. Another place in town saved the night. Avoid the balcony seating, the service out there really spoils things.

For all five days of my stay, the free Wi-Fi never worked despite repeated complaints, and the so-called EDP Manager was never available about it. Staff seemed not to care about customers. Food arrived late, if it arrived at all. Breakfast ordered in the morning might come by dinner, and the food quality was extremely mediocre for the price. I wasn’t given my room key for the first two days because it had been lost, so each time I had to go to reception and wait five minutes for someone to come open the door with the master key. Complaints about the choked commode went nowhere. The training workshop was also badly managed: participants had no chairs and stood for 15 minutes, among many other problems. I could write a book about it. Horrific experience. Don’t come here, even if it’s free.

I stopped at Dee Cee for a quick lunch, but the menu didn’t have much to choose from. The taste and presentation were underwhelming, and it definitely wasn’t worth the price. It’s a shame, since I’d heard people speak highly of the place. I’m not sure I’ll be back anytime soon.

Great location, clean room, and the price worked for us. The service was very good, and I enjoyed the morning breakfast. It could use more food options. Close to everything we wanted.
