Whenever we’re in Chennai, we keep coming back to Hotel Halez. The food is really yum, and the rooms are cozy and relaxing. It has a warm, inviting ambience, and the team consistently makes the experience 10/10. Keep up the amazing work, Hotel Halez. If you’re traveling to Chennai, do yourself a favor and stay here for the hospitality.

The food was delicious, with plenty of choice at both breakfast and dinner, and the staff were courteous and attentive, always ready to help with a smile. The whole property felt warm and welcoming, and the rooms were spacious, well maintained, and thoughtfully designed. Cleanliness and hygiene were top-notch, and the amenities were well cared for. I loved the stay. It was comfortable, luxurious, and well served, and felt worth every penny. A wonderful experience, and I’d happily visit again and recommend the hotel.

We came with family for the buffet dinner, and the vegetarian food was really awesome. Everything tasted great, from starters and main course to desserts, for a reasonable price of around 1k per person. The staff were friendly and hosted us very well. The road out front is a little congested because of the ongoing metro work.

The room felt poorly kept and unhygienic, with extremely dirty carpets and scraped, unclean headboards. Check-in also took unusually long, and the front desk didn’t collect basic details like our phone number. Later, while we were resting, they called to ask for information they should have taken at check-in. We weren’t told during booking or check-in that outside food wasn’t allowed. They sprang that policy on us at the last minute and hassled us about it, which could have been avoided with clear communication. Checkout was the worst part. I was asked to wait while it was processed, then waited 10-15 minutes. The staff member who’d first spoken with me had gone, so I followed up with Solomon. He was dismissive and sarcastic, and said he’d just come back from his break and would look into it with a smug look on his face. When I questioned his behavior, the argument escalated until other people had to step in. Between the slow service, room condition, unclear policy, and unprofessional conduct, this fell well short of basic hospitality. I wouldn’t recommend the hotel unless it improves significantly.
