Hotel Iberis Service Apartments

Terrible experience. I booked a room online yesterday, but when I got to the hotel, the person at reception told me they were full. While I was standing there, he gave a couple a room by the hour. This feels like a scam. Avoid booking a room through Hibiscus.

Room: average The photos make it look awesome, but it's really just a normal, decent room. The 12 extra amenities listed on Oyo, such as a heater and dryer, weren't there. Maybe you can get them by asking, or shouting, at reception. Location: poor The apartment is behind Infosys sholingannallur Chennai, and from the road you have to walk 1.6 Km. Only white board Busses stop at Infosys when going towards SIPCOT. On the return from SIPCOT, Busses don't stop at Infosys, so you have to rely on a share auto to get there. Stops at sholingannallur or puni-amman koil mean a 2.5 Kms walk to the apartment. Don't take an auto or try some high range bus from tiruvanmayur, both will leave you at sholingannallur. I had two heavy bags for a 1.5 week stay and walked 2kms to reach it. Service: poor I paid the full amount to book through Oyo before check-in. After I walked 2kms to the hotel, the owner refused my stay, saying I'd got the room at a very low price. Oyo helped by offering another hotel or the same room if I paid extra with reimbursement later. I chose the same room and did get the extra money reimbursed at the end. It was raining in Chennai during my stay, and the hotel uses a solar water heater, so I had no hot water for 3 days. After shouting at reception, I got a heater coil for the 4th day. There are no nearby shops, so you have to buy water bottles at the hotel. Room cleaning was only done once in 5 days. I'd call the service poor.

Families, stay away! I said several times that my family would be staying and asked if it would be suitable. They assured me they'd take care of things. Instead, my family was completely fed up with cigarette smoke everywhere and nearby people drinking with their doors open. The bathrooms stank, and they left in less than 2 hours.

The front office assistant was rude, and I found the whole management team unethical. If you have any self-respect, don't consider this hotel. You can't expect to be treated with respect here.
