The four-bed room had plenty of space, and the towels and beds were clean and neat. We found the lodge well maintained and spacious, a good fit for a family or group stay. Car parking is available despite the congested area, which is a real plus. It’s very close to Chepauk Cricket Ground, handy for match visitors. SMA Grand Inn Lodge was a great stay in Chepauk.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooms had comfortable beds, fast Wi-Fi, AC, and modern amenities. Everything was clean, spacious, and well maintained. I had a wonderful stay at SMA Grand INN, and it offers good comfort and value for business, family travel, or a short getaway. Highly recommended for a relaxing visit.

We drove over 300 km with our family and a child, arriving that afternoon on May 2, 2026, expecting check-in to be straightforward. I’d booked well ahead and paid the full amount online because SMA Grand is near Chepauk Stadium for the CSK vs MI match. At the front desk, though, we were told every room was occupied and they wouldn’t honor the booking. Taking full payment and then refusing a confirmed reservation showed no accountability or basic hospitality to me. It was highly unprofessional and unethical. I’d advise others to think twice about booking, especially with family or a tight schedule.

The manager was extremely rude and unprofessional, and the bedsheets were dirty. The main property image is fake, and the place is down a narrow lane with a very bad smell. It was a terrible experience. Never book this place.

The staff were polite and attentive, and the room service was very good. It was one of the best places I’ve stayed, with a convenient location for Chepauk, Marina beach, and many other places.
