The food the chef made was amazing, proper home cooking. The location was lovely too, close to beautiful temples and shops, with lots of greenery and a quiet feel. I was there for a long stay and Ila Aunty, Tamil Sir, Ravikanth ji, and the girls at reception all looked after me so well and made it joyful. Kolam really felt like family and like a home away from home. Whether you’re new to Chennai or not, it’s the best place to stay, hands down. ❤️

Breakfast was good, with Pongal, idlis, vada, and coffee, and the staff were attentive. The rooms were clean, spacious, fairly new, and well kept; the shower pressure was great, and laundry was available too. Kolam is in a quiet, green neighborhood right beside Grand Sweets, which makes a handy taxi landmark. Mathsya veg restaurant nearby has a good lunch buffet. We loved staying here and highly recommend it.

The cheerful staff made our comfortable stay even nicer, and the complex is in a very convenient location. It would be welcome to have sachets of milk powder, tea, coffee, and sugar so guests could make a cup at odd hours.

We found the facilities adequate for a short visit, and they’d work for families too. Breakfast was included, and the food and coffee were delicious. The property is in a convenient part of Adyar, with easy access to several restaurants and a nearby McDonalds.

Mr Vijay took very good care of us, and the food served was good. We stayed at Kolam Serviced Apartments for four days last week, and Ms Ilavarasi, Ms Punitha, and Mr Tamilarasan provided exemplary hospitality. It’s close to IIT Madras, Kalakshetra, and temples in Mylapore, Adyar, and Thiruvanmiyur.
