I stayed at SSP guest house for almost four months, so I feel I can give a fair review. The manager, Mr Sai, and the staff were cordial, and the service was really good. Rooms and bathrooms were professionally cleaned, and staff were available at any time. It’s in a good locality, with nice restaurants nearby for lunch or dinner. I had a good experience and would recommend it to anyone looking for a place around Chennai central.

The rooms are good, but I didn’t like the way they treat guests. They ask for a deposit and say they’ll return it, but according to my experience, they don’t return the full amount. They argue and charge extra from the deposit. If someone pushes back, they try to defend themselves by showing signed papers, the rooms taken, and a police-signed paper. I suggest avoiding this guest house. If you do stay here, don’t expect your deposit back.

My stay at SSP Guest House was the worst experience. The place is overpriced for its ambience and service, and room service isn’t available at all. In some rooms the TV doesn’t work, and in others the AC doesn’t cool. Staff were rude and didn’t know how to speak to customers. They seemed unconcerned whether regular guests would stay again.

The rooms were spotless and really nice, and the stay felt comfortable. It’s close to the Bazaar, which is handy for people coming from elsewhere to shop, and the price is reasonable too. Thumbs up 🤙
