My son is home now after a frightening ordeal, but he was left stranded at this hotel following a delayed flight, while travelling for his US student visa meeting. We had a booking confirmation and a recorded message saying the payment was complete. A woman named Tanisha from the hotel had called that morning to confirm, yet the staff said he had no booking. My husband had already filed a complaint, and I will escalate this if it isn't resolved. Are they going to refund the money? I'd urge people to be cautious and book here only if there are no other options. After almost two hours of waiting, they finally gave my son another room. It wasn't sanitary, had no towels, and there was no pantry. They charged him Rs.2100/- for that room because he was in an unfamiliar place and had no choice. They didn't provide a proper bill, just a slip for the hotel's own records.

I still haven't received the refund or compensation I've requested, after the mental and physical distress this caused. I had booked and paid in advance through my FabHotel profile for July 17-18, 2024, at FabHotel Stayz Inn US Consulate. I told FabHotel executives I'd arrive after 10 PM, and they assured me late check-in was fine. But when I got there at 10 PM, the hotel had changed its name and there was no room. The location listed by fabhotel was actually called "Grace spring," and the receptionist didn't even know what fabhotel was. I found another person dealing with the same situation. The FabHotel website still showed rooms available, and the name also appeared in recent Google reviews and on the name card, but none of that matched the reservations. I had to find another hotel late at night at inflated rates. It felt like a scam. I hope this reaches the responsible people at FabHotel, a chain I used to trust. I demand a full refund of my initial payment and adequate compensation.

The staff welcomed us with friendly smiles and helped us throughout. Our spacious, well-kept room had a comfortable bed, a clean bathroom, and useful amenities like a mini-fridge, coffee maker, and Almirah. The location was excellent too, close to popular restaurants and shopping areas. It was a pleasant stay, and if I come back, I'd stay here again without considering other options. The name on the hotel's sign was different when we arrived, and it was hidden, so even finding the place was a hassle. After check-in, we found dirty bedspreads and stained sheets, toiletries that hadn't been changed, and a dirty mat outside the bathroom. The AC barely cooled. The manager said a technician and laundry person would come that night after we complained, but neither showed up. Then the power went out in the middle of the night. The manager just shrugged and said there was a power cut and no backup. Good luck sleeping in Chennai's heat without AC. The place was terrible, and the management was even worse.
