We paid in full for three rooms for three families, booking Shraddha Shivam Residency well ahead of time, but when we arrived they simply said it was sold out. We were told it was run by brokers rather than a proper management team, with no coordination with Cleartrip, so the confirmed reservation meant nothing. It was Christmas, everywhere in Chitrakoot was full, and we had no choice but to spend the night in our car after paying. This was one of the most irresponsible travel experiences we've had. It felt like a gamble, and I wouldn't book this place if you care about your family's safety or your time.

The building is new, the rates are affordable, and the staff are friendly. It's in a very good spot, near Ramghat, Kamtanath Temple, and other places.
