The place is cozy and surrounded by nature, with a peaceful, homely feel near Darjeeling. The owner has lovely taste in materials and was so kind and helpful that they made our anniversary memorable. The food was amazing, and the barbecue is a must-try! Everyone was cooperative, especially Raman and Manoj. They helped us in every way, from finding a local cab to Darjeeling to arranging one toward Sikkim.

I spent five days here and really enjoyed my stay. Mr Pravesh, the hotel manager, took good care of me, set up activities in and around Darjeeling, and arranged an individual tour. The staff service was very good too, and I enjoyed the food, especially getting to try traditional Nepalese and Tibetan dishes. I can recommend Deoja Forest Stay to anyone visiting Darjeeling and the surrounding areas.

The cottages look out over a lovely green setting, and the views are amazing. Mr. Deoja was especially helpful whenever we needed guidance, and Mr. Roman took care of our requests. Just be aware that reaching the cottages means climbing steps, which could be tough if you're not physically fit.

The place had a really welcoming feel, and the staff were helpful throughout. We stayed with family for a few days in mid-January, and our stone lodge was clean and warm. The locally made decorations were beautiful, and we all enjoyed the food. I'd give it five stars.

We came with friends for a birthday night, but it didn't feel worth what we paid. The food was overpriced, service was poor, and music wasn't allowed after 10 PM. A disappointing stay.
