Pahari Soul

Kanchenjungha can be seen from all the ground and first floor rooms on sunny mornings, and the toy train runs just below the homestay. There's parking, and the ground floor terrace adds to the charm. The rooms are quite good, the setting and ambience are beautiful, and the host and other staff are cooperative. Food is good too. Pahari Soul is outside Darjeeling's main city, just beyond ghoom monestary and batasia loop, with the mall about 3 kms away. If you'd like to get away from the crowded center and have a comfortable stay, this place is recommended.

It's a homely place with a comfortable bed and lovely friendly staff. You get destiny views of kanchanjangha. The WiFi sometimes comes and goes, but that's not a big issue. I'll visit again.

The room was spotless, well organized and clearly cared for, a perfect place to relax. Best of all, Kanchenjunga was right there from the window, and seeing the toy train pass below made the view feel even more magical. Waking up to it was something else.

I booked rooms through booking.com and had to cancel because of a medical emergency. The listing clearly said cancellation before 21st oct was free. Now the owner, a very rude woman, is demanding I send her a medical certificate before she'll decide what to do. Her attitude and the way she spoke to us were awful. Customers pay to stay there, and shouldn't have to expect this kind of behavior from the property owner. It's unacceptable.
