We never got a room key, despite asking several times. Each time they said someone was bringing one, but we still had none when we checked out. The staff’s behavior was somewhere between bad and very bad, and the rooms and bedsheets were dirty. There was water on the toilet floor but none available in the toilet, and the phone for calling reception was broken. Hotel Mahal felt like a place just to make money, with poor service and a money-minded attitude. For a peaceful, decent stay, don’t choose it. Even a Dharmshala would be better.

The bathrooms and bedsheets were dirty, and the room service was awful. I ordered tea and it never arrived. The staff were rude. Avoid this place at any cost.

I’ve never seen a worse woman at the front office.
