The person we dealt with was rude and wouldn’t listen, then told us to take our questions to the booking site. That made no sense. We had five rooms confirmed the day before arrival, but on the day itself the hotel cancelled without warning and left us without a place to stay. I think they favor walk-ins who pay more than online guests. They also asked us for an advance payment, which the booking site says is against its policy. If you pay, you may still end up without a room, and the booking site could blame you for paying outside the rules. Please be careful. I wouldn’t book this cheap hotel.

The staff made the stay comfortable with their polite, welcoming service. Rooms were clean and well kept, too. Getting around was easy since the hotel is near Connaught Place and the railway station, handy for both commuting and seeing the city.

We stayed four nights at Hotel Chanchal in New Delhi and would happily return. Mr. Bablu and Alamgr treated us warmly and did their best to help, as did the staff handling room service. The food was tasty, and the rest was okay. We'd recommend it to anyone visiting New Delhi.

We were traveling with family and chose not to make a scene, but this was unacceptable. The room was dirty and nothing like the one we booked on Booking.com, and the photos shown online seemed fake and misleading. The front desk staff were dishonest and unhelpful, with no attempt to sort it out. I wouldn't trust this place. Total fraud.

They said they'd move me to the room I'd booked the next day, and they did. It was much better, but then they tried to charge extra, and their friendly attitude vanished when I refused. Before that, I'd been put in a dirty, old room with no window and a filthy bathroom. The Wi-Fi didn't work, and there was no hot water. This place left me really disappointed.
