The peaceful setting and convenient location make Colonel’s Retreat good value for money. It felt homely, and our room was spacious, comfortable, and well cared for. After a tiring journey, I was glad to find the bed so comfortable and the accommodations really nice. For my first night in Delhi, I felt safe here as a solo woman traveler while my partner was due to meet me later. The street was quiet, thankfully. Everyone was accommodating, and they offered to bring dinner to my room. The okra with rice and dal was delicious, the best okra dish I've ever had. Highly recommend.

The rooftop terrace was great, and we had breakfast there. We ate at the hotel every night too, which says plenty. After a long day of travel, we arrived late and got such a warm welcome. The room was comfortable, and the location really does offer a retreat from the madness of Delhi.

The owner sent us off toward Agra with such a generous portion of banana bread that it lasted two days. That was part of the top rate hospitality at Colonels Retreat, where we felt very welcome on our first night in India. We had a comfortable stay, and both the evening meal and breakfast were lovely.

The service here is so good, from coffee and high tea to breakfast and dinner. It's also convenient and close to the metro. The place was super clean, and the staff were kind and exceptional. One of the best places I've ever stayed, and I'll choose it every time I visit Delhi.
