Hotel Almati Inn

The breakfast was basic but tasted good, and they didn’t provide a kettle until I asked. I paid 3800rs for each of two executive suite rooms booked through booking.com. The first-floor rooms we got were small, with broken furniture and stained toilets. After a lot of discussion and waiting, we were moved to better rooms, but they still weren’t worth the price. Even the receptionist’s chair was broken. Mr Srikant, if you’re reading, please treat your employees with dignity and give them a decent chair at reception. The furniture needs refurbishing, and the old flashy pictures should be removed from booking sites so people aren’t misled. I saw several foreigners staying there, though I don’t know how you manage to get them. And please take “Boutique” out of the hotel name on booking.com. It’s nowhere close to that.

The food was poor, and the overall service, cleanliness, and room standards fell well short of expectations. The hotel advertises itself as four-star, but it barely felt like a two-star stay. The bed sheet was dirty, there were spider webs, and the bathroom had just one towel. There was no handwash, only two tiny local shampoo sachets and a bar of soap. For the price and the star rating, this was misleading and extremely disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

The staff were very nice and welcoming once I arrived, but the rooms disappointed me. The towels were torn and dirty. I’d been told there was complimentary airport pickup, which sounded great. Even though I mentioned I had a lot of luggage, they sent a very tiny car. I ended up waiting an hour for a shared taxi.

The hot water being reliably available is a must for me, and I appreciated that here. Mr. Abi Sikh and the other staff were so sweet and kind. I liked the ambience inside the hotel. Wishing you a successful business, and I hope to see you again soon.
