OYO 43970 Hotel Sona International

I was happy with my stay. The rooms were clean, the service was good, and the prices were affordable.

The location wasn't good, and the rooms smelled. I checked in late, but they still hadn't changed the bedsheets, with hair everywhere. Service was awful too: they took my ID and didn't bring it back. Don't trust the booking-site reviews, they're all fake. Avoid places like this.

After a 14-hour flight, exhausted and carrying two bags in a new, very hot country, we were told our rooms had been given away. I don't even remember them apologizing. After a lot of arguing, they offered us a room at a nearby hotel, and we reluctantly went to see it. The 'receptionist' led us down a dark alley to a filthy place and offered a room marked 'Out or Order - Do Not Use' as if that were acceptable. More discussion followed before he finally found us a room that was acceptable enough at another hotel, where they tried to charge us more. We refused. I can't review the rooms or food here since our booking was given away, but their treatment of guests was appalling. AVOID, DO NOT BOOK.

I rate it well for its location, and you won't find a better hotel at this price. Pink, for instance, could cost twice as much for a slightly higher standard, or you could spend $100+ a night for a real 4/5 stars.
