Genx Dwarawata Dharwad

The location is good, and the front desk was helpful. The room was nice and clean, including the bathroom, though I found the commode uncomfortable. Breakfast at the restaurant was awful: we waited half an hour for cold puri, the dosa was burnt, and the staff didn’t respond. The restaurant service took two stars off my rating and really needs to improve.

The rooftop restaurant and bar were awesome, and the hotel also arranged an extra bed when we asked. Service was good and the rooms were spacious. The bedding and linen need attention, though. The linen looked very old and had stains, but they changed it right away when we pointed that out. They should provide clean, better-quality linen.

Close to the highway as you enter Dharwad from the north, so it’s a decent place to stay. The rooms are spacious and service is good, and the restaurant is very good too. The breakfast selection was acceptable. The bathrooms, though, stink.

The lobby and the rest of the area weren’t cleaned properly, and I even saw a dead bee at reception. The staff were neither polite nor helpful when we raised problems, and seemed indifferent instead of offering a solution. The rooms at Hotel Dwarawata were poorly maintained and didn’t feel clean or comfortable. Breakfast was below satisfactory, with very few choices and no taste or freshness. It was a really disappointing stay, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for a pleasant or hygienic place in Dharwad.
