The view from our room at Kodaikanal Dolphin Nose Retreat was breathtaking. Falling asleep under a sky full of stars was unforgettable. Piyush Da managed everything smoothly from check-in through checkout, and handled requests quickly with a smile. The food was really good, especially the fresh, flavorful local dishes that felt homemade. Booking was easy too, with a responsive and clear booking department. Great hospitality, excellent food and an amazing view. I’d highly recommend it if you’re visiting Dolphin Nose.

The kids loved the play area, and the on-site restaurant made meals hassle-free with its menu. Our spacious, well-equipped suite gave the whole family a comfortable place to stay. Staff were welcoming and shared helpful ideas for family-friendly activities. Dolphin Nose Retreat was convenient for reaching local attractions and had a warm, accommodating atmosphere throughout.

Manager Piyush coordinated things smoothly and was very helpful, while Sharmaji, who heads the kitchen, was courteous and attentive. It was reassuring that the owner, Mr. Ahmed, could be reached by phone. We stayed three days with family and appreciated the quiet atmosphere away from the city, though the price felt high for what was offered. The narrow approach road gets congested and can be stressful in peak season. The views didn’t match what many reviews led us to expect, though weather or timing could make a difference. For the tariff, the amenities and overall experience fell short of what I’d expect from a place positioned near the four-star category. Breakfast options were minimal for the price and need improvement. The uneven steps around the property also call for extra care, especially with children or older guests. The location and staff have potential, but the price and actual experience felt noticeably out of step.

The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff made the stay easy and enjoyable. I also found the location convenient for walks. I had a wonderful stay at cloudwalk, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a welcoming place and a different kind of travel experience.

We stayed three nights at Dolphin Nose Retreat with our family, including a senior citizen and a young child, during the lovely winter season. The peaceful setting and natural scenery made it a relaxing choice. The valley views were breathtaking, and the sunrises mesmerizing. We also enjoyed the bonfire, which was worth the small extra charge in the chilly weather. Reception team Kunal and Piyush were welcoming and efficient, while Arun, Mondal and the rest of the support team were kind, helpful and attentive throughout. For anyone driving themselves, the road alongside the valley is narrow, and tourist traffic heading to the Dolphin's Nose viewpoint can make it a bit chaotic during the day. It’s manageable with careful driving and some planning around outings. I’d highly recommend this peaceful, scenic retreat for families.
