Vibe Inn Kodai

After we checked in, very late at around 7:00 P.M, we called about the promised water heater and television, which were supposed to be ready. Instead, after we asked about the TV and geyser, they threatened us with having to leave and getting only 4/5th of the amount reimbursed. I wouldn’t recommend staying here because of the servants’ behaviour.

I left very happy with the excellent room and the staff’s courteous, respectful behaviour. Thank you, Vibe in Kodaikanal.

Check-in was at 11 AM, but by 2 PM the room still wasn’t ready. They kept saying they were cleaning it. Don’t book this shitty Vibe Inn cottage.

The rooms are clean, the washrooms are always neat, and the homestay is in the middle of Kodaikanal. Still, the staff need to address a few things. Wi-Fi worked at first, then stopped. There was no hot water, and I had to shower in cold water before an early morning checkout, which was frustrating. They should explain the room terms and conditions clearly and give proper information about places to explore nearby. A staff member told us we could visit Thootur waterfalls and explore the surrounding area. We took them at their word and travelled around 30 kms, only to find out we weren’t allowed in. It wasted both time and fuel. When I visited three days ago, they served extra food and said it was complimentary and free. But when settling the bill at the end of the day, they charged us for it too. I’d ask everyone to be aware of these scams.
