Hotel Gomti

Breakfast was awesome. I loved the chai, aloo paratha, bread with butter and jam, dhokla, and juice. Thank you, Gomti hotel, and all the service staff. Hotel Gomti in Dwarka has neat rooms, quick service, and polite staff. It’s close to the holy Dwarkadhish Mandir, and the peaceful surroundings give it a calm spiritual feel. The warm hospitality made the stay comfortable and homely. A wonderful experience for devotees and other travellers.

Our room was 302, with a beautiful location. I enjoyed the stay, especially being just a one-minute walk from the main reason we came, Dwarkadhish temple, and from Sangam sthan, where the Gomati river meets the west sea. I could take my Magha Purmima bath in the dark, early in the morning. The hotel felt luxurious and peaceful.

The hotel has a very nice staff and a good in-house restaurant. They can also book cars for a Somnath trip and sightseeing at reasonable rates. It was an easy, comfortable stay, and a great place to stay near Shri Dwarkadhish temple.

The two upsides were how close it is to the temple and the in-house dining. The rooms were damp, and there were no toiletries or even a basic bathroom freshener. For 7000/- per room per night, 14,000/- for our two rooms, it felt far too expensive. I wouldn’t recommend paying more than 3500 per night here, especially with so many other options. Sightseeing and Somnath travel taxi rates were quoted about 40% higher, which seemed to include their own cut. They knew autos and taxis couldn’t reach the hotel and had a cart for passengers and luggage, but didn’t arrange it when we arrived. They did arrange one when we left. Staff were from North East and acted as if they didn’t understand Hindi well. Overall, a poor experience.
